On April 24, 2010, Cheryl received the 2010 Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the North to the Future Business and Professional Women’s Organization. Thank you North to the Future, for this award!

I am a hat designer -- a hat maker.  It is my belief that a hat, as a true accessory, should enhance a woman. The point is for the woman to be noticed, not just the hat on her head.  Because a hat frames the face, it defines who the person is.  For me, the shape has to have relevance and purpose.

Wearing a hat takes confidence because it is a choice. Society says we have to wear shoes, life says we have to wear clothes, but someone has to choose to wear a hat.  The fact that a person could choose a hat that I make, and feel that it adds to her life in some way, is a gift to me.
